Multiphysics Simulation of Electromagnetic Heating for Industrial Decarbonization - 2024
Free, One-hour Webinar
Today, industrial process heat is primarily derived from burning fossil fuels, in which approximately one-third of the heat generated is typically lost as waste. Industrial heating is also the source of more than 30% of our greenhouse gas emissions. Electromagnetic heating technologies can deliver energy directly to where it is needed and are a critical technology for reducing emissions and energy use in manufacturing. In this webinar, we will review various modes of electromagnetic heating, their underlying physics, and key methods for developing accurate multiphysics models of these technologies. We will present three case studies of multiphysics models that couple electromagnetics, heat transfer, and other physics such as fluid flow and chemical reactions.
