Meta Reality Labs (MRL), a subsidiary of Meta (formerly Facebook, Inc.), recently published an article describing their research conducted with support from Veryst's Dr. Alireza Kermani.
MRL modeled ultrasound sensor integration into a glasses form factor augmented reality device, using a COMSOL model built by Veryst. Veryst developed the COMSOL model to simulate acoustic ray tracing from a transmitter to receivers on the glass frame to predict signal strength and signal differentiation for different gazes.
The article, titled Ultrasound for Gaze Estimation—A Modeling and Empirical Study, was published in the journal Sensors and published on MDPI, an open access publishing website.
