Mechatronics Engineer
Veryst Engineering seeks a full time Engineer in Mechatronics for projects involving energy harvesting and engineering consulting. Veryst Engineering is a small engineering consulting firm located in Needham, Massachusetts. Our practice applies engineering fundamentals to challenging design, manufacturing process, and failure analysis problems. Mechanical or Electrical Engineers with a strong work experience in both fields will be considered. Responsibilities include testing, engineering analysis, design, and prototyping. Minimum Master’s or PhD degree with 2 years minimum industrial experience with circuit design and prototyping, CAD experience, and engineering design essential. Strong academic record and references necessary. Experience with MATLAB and numerical analysis techniques (finite element analysis, SPICE) essential and experience with electromagnetic simulation desirable. Will collaborate with other engineers on a range of engineering projects that require strong understanding of engineering fundamentals. Should have demonstrated ability to communicate technical content well, analyze multi-faceted problems and be able to work well both self-directed and within a team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Mechanical and electrical engineering design
- Use of CAD and simulation software
- Coordination of prototype manufacture
- Design, setup, and performance of experiments using data acquisition hardware
- Document review and summarizing
- Project management and report writing
Senior Mechanical Engineer
Veryst Engineering seeks a full time Senior Mechanical Engineer with a background in engineering mechanics and analysis. Responsibilities include engineering analysis, design, and prototyping. Veryst Engineering is a small engineering consulting firm located in Needham, Massachusetts. Our practice applies engineering fundamentals to challenging design, manufacturing process, and failure analysis problems. PhD in mechanical engineering or aeronautical engineering with 2 years minimum industrial experience essential. Strong academic record and references necessary. Experience with computational methods, particularly nonlinear finite element analysis desirable. Will collaborate with other engineers on a range of engineering projects that require strong understanding of engineering fundamentals. Should have demonstrated ability to communicate technical content well, analyze multi-faceted problems and be able to work well both self-directed and within a team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Nonlinear finite element analysis and system simulation
- Mechanical engineering design
- Arrange prototype manufacture
- Project management and report writing
- Document review and summarizing
